Frequently asked questions

FAQ – LANTITE Numeracy with Barb

❓ Are you a qualified teacher?

✔️ Yes. I am a fully qualified teacher with a university degree from London (UK) and many years of teaching experience.

❓ When did you start tutoring for LANTITE Numeracy?

✔️ In 2017 — right from the very beginning of LANTITE.

❓ What is your most successful program?

✔️ The 5-Week Intensive LANTITE Numeracy Course.
This is the program that has helped hundreds of pre-service teachers pass.

❓ Is the course one-to-one?

✔️ No. It is a guided group program.

❓ Why isn’t it one-to-one?

✔️ Because 40 hours of one-to-one tutoring would cost significantly more (normally $99 per hour).

✔️ The group format provides:

clear structure
accountability
excellent value
proven results

❓ Is there individual support in the group course?

✔️ Yes. You are fully supported through:

live Q&A during sessions
step-by-step explanations
access to recordings
clear guidance on what to practise

❓ What’s included in the course?

✔️

19 live webinars
Full access to recordings
Coverage of all LANTITE Numeracy topics
Exam-style questions with explanations

❓ What topics are covered each week?

✔️ The course is carefully structured:

Non-calculator skills
Number & Algebra
Geometry & Measurement
Statistics & Data
Mixed revision and exam preparation

❓ Is this course suitable if I haven’t done maths in years?

✔️ Absolutely.
The course is designed specifically for students who:

haven’t studied maths in a long time
lack confidence
need concepts explained from the basics

✔️ There is a slow build-up, repetition, and no assumptions about prior knowledge.

❓ Is it suitable if I’ve failed LANTITE before?

✔️ Yes.
In fact, most of my students have failed at least once before joining the course.

❓ How much study is required outside the sessions?

✔️ A lot.
There are no shortcuts — effort and consistency are essential.

✔️ Results come from:

attending sessions
watching recordings
practising questions regularly

❓ I’ll be overseas — can I still join?

✔️ Yes.
All sessions are recorded, so you can keep up even if you can’t attend live every time (though joining live when possible is strongly recommended).

❓ Can I add one-to-one tutoring?

✔️ Yes.
One-to-one support can be added as a top-up if you feel you need extra personalised help.
